The intention here is for the reader to feel that I’m showing a special person in my life how deeply she knows me. I share details about my experiences, my surroundings, and the things that define me. The idea is that she might know me even more than these places and moments do — or maybe less — and it’s up to the reader to sense that.
The grey scale photographs I take, they know who I am,
The evening dim light in my lawn, knows who I am,
The lazy Sunday afternoons,
The night before the complete moons,
By the seashore, the silent mornings,
The earliest dawns, bird chirpings,
Salty sea breezes,
My backpacking holidays,
My dichromatic clothing, my abrupt loathing,
Some random plans, my mundane days,
Deliberate closeness, unpleasant distances,
My sans souci soul knew who I am,
Also my overbearing soul, knows who I am,
All of them knew who I am,
And then, there’s you.
